How much does dumpster rental cost in Amarillo, TX?
Dumpster rental pricing in Amarillo depends on the size you need, what you’re hauling, and how long you need the container.
The price covers delivery, pickup, disposal at the landfill, and a 7-day rental period. What we quote is what you pay. No fuel surcharges, no per-mile fees.

What Affects the Price
Debris type. Concrete, brick, and dirt weigh more than household junk. Heavy loads hit weight limits faster, which adds overage charges. If your project is mostly concrete (say, a patio demo on the east side), mention that when you call.
Rental extensions. The base rate covers 7 days. Additional days are billed in day increments. If your project is running long, call before the rental ends to extend rather than waiting for pickup.
Distance from Amarillo. Delivery to Canyon, Bushland, or Vega adds minimal cost. Jobs farther out (Pampa, Hereford, Borger) may carry a small distance fee. We’ll tell you upfront.
Landfill vs. Dumpster Rental Cost
The City of Amarillo landfill at 16250 Bezner Rd charges approximately $41 per ton in tipping fees. That’s just the dump fee, not the cost of renting a truck, fuel, or your time hauling multiple loads.
For loads under about 1 ton, hauling yourself to Bezner Rd can make sense. For anything over 2 tons, a flat-rate dumpster rental is almost always cheaper. Add truck rental, fuel, and multiple trips and the math isn’t close. A 20-yard dumpster handles what would take 6-8 pickup truck loads.
Note: City of Amarillo alley dumpsters are for household trash only - not construction or renovation debris. If you’re wondering whether the City service covers your project, see our City dumpster vs. roll-off rental guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there hidden fees?
No. The quoted price includes delivery, pickup, disposal, and 7 days of rental. Weight overages are the only variable. We’ll tell you the weight limit before you book. If the load is close to the limit at pickup, we’ll weigh it and call you before charging anything extra.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
Overage is charged per ton above the limit at the prevailing landfill rate plus a handling fee. It doesn’t happen often. The most common cause is mixing heavy debris (concrete, tile, gravel) with lighter material. If you’re unsure what you’re hauling, call before you book and we’ll recommend the right size.
How long is the rental period?
The base rental is 7 days. Most projects finish in that window. If you need more time, call before the 7 days are up. Extensions are available by the day.
Is same-day pricing different?
Same-day delivery is available when we have a container on the truck for your area. The price is the same as any scheduled delivery. Call before noon and we can usually have it there the same day.
